In which silly and cliche dialogues abound…

Text: Light used shoujo sparkles! Its super effective!

I didn’t really intend to make a comic so the flow here doesn’t make sense.
Dialogue/Scenario (including parts not drawn):

Light: The most foolish thing I’ve ever done? Well, if I had to say, it would be falling in love with my servant…

Mikami: …! Kami-sama, you’re…?
Light:  Yes.
Mikami: With me…?
Light: Yes.
Mikami: *The confirmation spreads warmth through him that he tries desperately to suppress* (No…no it’s impossible—) *he can’t afford to allow himself any measure of happiness, because what if this is merely a test of his loyalty, besides, Kami-sama could never feel that way for…for him and so he squashes any joy left within him until only disbelief remains* But I…I could never be worthy of such an honor…
Light: That’s not true. My servant is the most loyal devoted man I know. He shares my vision of an ideal world where justice will reign. He is not only God’s right hand, but also God’s angel, and I love him.
Mikami: ……!
Light: So, Teru. …Won’t you kiss me?
Mikami: M-me?
Light: *smirk* Who else is there for me?
Mikami: *flushes deeply* T-then…I am…forever yours, Kami.

Mikami hesitating to show the message proclaiming his love for Kami he wrote on himself in pen. Light is persistent, “Show me, what are you hiding?” His expression makes it clear that if Mikami does not remove his shirt in a timely fashion, he will intervine himself if needed.

Light: *Intrigued by Mikami’s idoltry and loyalty for him, he wonders how much power he has over the man, and what kind of things he can get Mikami to do. Surely every man has his limits…right?* Hey, would you do anything if Kira asked you to? *a pause* What about if he asked you for a kiss? *He knows Mikami would go to great lengths for his god, but would he even…?*

Mikami: *eager to show his loyalty, he misses the second question* Of course, I’d even write my name in the Death— *and then it registers, he stops abruptly* …A k-kiss?! *the thought makes his heart pound. He has always taken joy out of serving Kira, but what if this time it might be something more…No, he will not hesitate to wonder about his own feelings, what matters is doing that which is required of him to please his Lord* Well, if…*he allows his eyelids to fall closed, the words he’s about to say next are the cause of his quickly reddening cheeks*…if that is what my Lord wishes. *mumbling* I’d happily sacrifice my lips to you, Kira-sama!

Light: *makes a noise of surprise, something like* Uwaahh??! *did not expect Mikami to say yes*

-After some sort of passionate declaration of loyalty from Mikami-

Light: You said you’d do anything for Kira, right? So kiss me.
Mikami: A-as you wish, my Lord…! *inner thoughts (Ah, but I am not worthy of feeling Kami-sama’s lips against my own so…)* *cheek kiss*

Light looks rather disappointed, teehee.

This was an attempt at a random rough draft page from an idea..don’t intended to make a comic but I wanted to draw this scene.

Background (this comic doesn’t make sense otherwise): For some reason (default explaination is “in order to test Mikami’s loyalty”) Light has purposefully given up ownership of the Death Note and thus forgotten his memories of being Kira and his memories of Mikami. He stays with Mikami temporarily because he has no where to go and then “temporarily” begins turning into not wanting to leave, because he enjoys Teru’s company. Their beliefs, intelligence, and personality suit each other. They get to know each other in a way that’s different from their previous relationship, as close companions. Light, before losing his memories, ordered Mikami not to let on that Light is Kira. Because of this, Mikami only shows his deep admiration and caring for Light, but does not blatantly worship him. That, combined with their new intimate (albeit platonic) relationship causes innocent!Light to develop feelings of fondness towards the other.

Comic takes place right after Light discovers Mikami’s obsession from a bunch of Kira paraphernalia in Mikami’s office. The idea that Kira holds a higher position in Mikami’s heart than himself makes him upset, so when he next meets Mikami, Light confronts him about it. He begins by asking what Mikami’s views on Kira are. Mikami tries not to disobey Kira!Light’s orders from before while taking care to remain honest to innocent!Light.

Dialogue:

Mikami: Kira? *he says the word with a tone of fondness*
Light: (No…stop it! Don’t…)
Mikami: *fiercely passionately* I worship him.
Light: (don’t say it like that…in that tone of voice…) Then, were I Kira… (…like he is your…most important person) *heart aching, squeezes eyes shut* (Because I…Because I…—) *opens suddenly, looking pained and vulnerable* Would you worship me? (—want to be your most important person!)
Mikami: *surprised and moved by the desperateness in his Lord’s voice, responds with the same fierce passion as before* Of course!
Light: *surprised by the shout* (So intense…!)
Mikami: *moves close, caught up in the moment, it only slightly registers that perhaps he shouldn’t say it, but as long as its taken in this hypothetical context it might not count…* *whispers with a sincere devotion* I worship you, Kira-sama.
Light: *is taken aback by how much happiness those words give him, for a magic moment he experiences what it’s like to be adored as Kira by Mikami. And when the moment is over, he is ironically left feeling ever more jealous of Kira and wishing Mikami would idolize him in that way*
